In 2015, audio engineer turned founding director, Tyson Leith decided to bring his skills, passion, and ambition to Brooklyn, New York to establish a full scale production house. Here, he assembled a talented team of resourceful creatives and Timberwolf Films was founded. In this interview, Tyson shares an inside look into his creative endeavors, his favorite INOVATIV products, and all the benefits that those products bring to set.
Tell us a bit about your background and how you got started?
I started as an audio engineer and record producer in Australia, but I always wanted to move to NYC. I just knew that it was where I belonged. Seven years after shifting industries, we’ve built an incredible and continuously growing team at our studio here in Brooklyn.
What are some of your favorite INOVATIV products that you currently own and why?
Our favorite INOVATIV product has to be our Voyager 36 EVO X. Its customizability and overall build quality is unlike anything else. It’s become one of those few pieces of equipment that you never need to question its reliability.
Can you share some specific examples of how INOVATIV gear has helped you overcome challenges or achieve exceptional results?
Overall, the premium quality and ruggedness of our INOVATIV cart has been elite to work with. It gets us from point A to point B quickly and efficiently - especially when we are traveling across the city.
How do you customize your INOVATIV setup to meet the unique demands of your work?
We customized our cart with the mast riser system, baby pin system, storage troughs, cable hooks and the combo locking bottom drawer. Storage is important for us. The more gear we can move off the worksurface, the better. The baby pin system has been a real game changer. It’s just so versatile.
What advice would you give to aspiring professionals?
Chase what interests and excites you but never be above the boring tasks. Be great, but build a reputation for being great to work with.
When you're not working on projects, how do you like to recharge and find inspiration for your next creative endeavor?
In moments where we don’t have immediate client work, our team will produce creative concepts and passion projects from the ground up. This helps keep me focused and stay creatively fulfilled.
What are you currently working on?
There’s a few very exciting campaigns on our radar this year. One we’re currently in pre production for is an upcoming campaign with Rolling Stone and Marriott surrounding the Life Is Beautiful festival.
