Ambassador Profile: Emmy-Winning Filmmaker Graham Sheldon

Graham Sheldon resides in southern California where he works as a producer, director of photography, and sales agent for indie films. Though, to better encapsulate the entirety of his passion for the craft and dedication to the industry, he simply refers to himself as a filmmaker.

Throughout his career, he has shot and produced scripted, topical, and historical documentary projects in over two dozen countries and across the United States - including Alaska and the Hawaiian Islands. And with every project, he aims to foster a safe and supportive work environment where everyone feels empowered to do their best work. Because of this, Graham also strives to be a change agent within the film industry, using his platform to promote diversity and inclusion by hiring and working with crews from a myriad of diverse backgrounds.

Tell us a bit about your background and how you got started?

It's a long story, but I started as a travel host and producer and moved into directing and DP'ing over the years. I've never lost sight of the producing title, however. Being able to produce my own content has been a boon during the slower times in our industry.

What are some of your favorite INOVATIV products that you currently own and why?

My Voyager 36 EVO X workstation is versatile enough to work as a DIT setup, mobile video village, or even camera department cart in the middle of the desert - or the city - and it can keep up with my travel-heavy career.

How do you customize your INOVATIV setup to meet the unique demands of your work?

I wear a bunch of different hats on set and I’m able to change my workstation to accommodate every role. The Baby Pin System has been my most versatile accessory by far. Whether it’s elevating my laptop on the DigiPlate Pro or supporting my production monitor on the Pro Monitor Mount, it always finds a place on the workstation.

When we need to prep cameras, the Camera Mount System comes in handy. It makes it easy to transfer the camera - plates and all - from the workstation to set. Plus, the Tripod System and Cable Hooks keep everything neat and tidy for easy setups, tear downs, and relocations.

What advice would you give to aspiring professionals?

Don't be afraid of being a multi-hyphenate. Be kind, work hard and bring joy to every project and you'll foster a sense of creativity that allows your team to do their best work.

When you're not working on projects, how do you like to recharge and find inspiration for your next creative endeavor?

Climbing and Swimming!

What are you currently working on?

I'm currently working on Nick News S3 for Nickelodeon.
